You do know GreenDay formed in 1987 & released their first album in 1990, a full ten years before Good Charlotte released their first album. The entirety of GC's founding line-up were less than 10 y/o when GreenDay began playing shows.
Good Charlotte, in fact, thanked GreenDay for their inspiration in the liner notes of 'The Young & The Hopeless'.
If you've been listening to GC since you were 9, you'd be a mere 20 today. If it was this song you were listening to, you'd be 17.
