Kabaeva became my worst gymnast afterr Sydney. Her routines are HORRIBLE now. BACKSCALE PIVOTS IS ALL SHE CAN DO??? she has no balance or technique coordination anymore. She uses the same move over and over, hops an skips, is attached to her hoop, and dances around like a little rhythmless pixie. Yet she still got gold in Athens. I died twice seeing her get gold in Athens.

I like that she is trying some new tosses and handlings with the hoop. However, she still needs major help in the choreography department, and she does too many variations on one skill in her routines (how many backscale pivots do we really need to see?) Watch Anna Bessonova's new hoop routine, and you'll see Alina sorely lacking. Best of luck to her, anyway.
