Aw, that's so sad. :'( The good always die young. At least he's in a better place. A place where no one calls autistic people "freaks", "burdens" or "retards."

this made me tear up. It was a beautiful video. My son was diagnosed last year with autism. I worry about him, how hard life is going to be for him. so few people can see past the differences to see the positives. I also worry for my daughter, I don't know what effect her brothers autism will have on her.. I hope my daughter can grow up to see her brother as clearly and positively as you see yours.

My son had autism/asperger syndrome , I accepted him for who he was. A unique wonder individual who had a great sense of humor , loved to laugh and a sweet smile to boot. He was intelligent beyond words. He mastered many things I don't think he thought he could do. I just enjoyed him for who he was . Unfortunately he died in his sleep 4 months ago, he was 27 . I wish he was still here. But he left a legacy to be proud of. He was the first in the state of North Carolina to graduate from HS.

It's great that you stuck up for your brother. But violence isn't the way to go. Hate just causes more hate.

I know, it was a typo that I didn't realize until the video was deleted off my computer so I couldn't fix it.

I am going to continue informing people about my brother. I am going to keep fighting for him. But this wasn't just for him. This was for every Mentally Disabled child that cannot spread their voice. That cannot fight for themselves. And I'm sure that many people will continue to critisize me for what I'm trying to do. But I won't stop. Ever.

Sorry for the comment, but i've just been looking at so many of these ones with young kids (its different once they become teenagers and free will enters) I kind of feel this way about all the parents and people who put the pictures of autistic kids on the media, visually representing them often at their most vulnerable and discussing their personal struggles in a way we wouldn't really do for all other kids.

Acctually, my little brother has seen the video, and was happy about it.He wants to inform people about Autism. And he won't have to worry about school, because next year he will be home schooled so that he is provided with all the things that our school system is not offering.I respect your point of view completely, but every child is different. Some kids my consider this an invasion of privacy , but he viewed it as an act of love.
