Shame Jon doesn't come to the point when he talks about the 3 savatage phases; he starts with 1, then in the middle of 2 he seems to stop (changes the subject to Criss), but he doesn't talk about 3. In the end, I would have loved to hear what he has to say about a "reunion", or making another Sava record or doing just a tour. That music should not go to waste. I know JOP plays a lot of Sava stuff but it's not the real deal, is it ? I wanna see Caffery, Middleton, etc again.
@Archangel3583 Agreed. Poets has a more metal sound, even though it is still piano heavy. I don't mind piano at all... it's one of the distinguishing features in Oliva's work. He has a very cool style. I just didn't appreciate Dead Winter Dead or Magellan very much.
@DrFlaxWebFLOO Magellan and Dead Winter Dead were very similar, but I think Magellan has more guitar work on it than DWD. But that said, I always felt Poets & Madmen was completely different to Magellan.
I just want to see Savatage once in my life. Come on Jon... Have a NON-reunion Tour

@foreverrandyrhoads Phase 3 is Circle II Circle, the Chris Caffery Band, JOP, TSO, the Savatage-derived bands.
