i think we should have spend 1 billion on making the city better. I live with my mom and we are pretty poor but we work and manage to live good lives. I have lived in east vancouver for a long time and i can see and breath the pain of the homeless. I pass by them everyday and look into their eyes and feel their struggle i can see them suffer out in the cold sometimes. instead of spending1 billion to save ppl and making things right we glamorize athletes and sports for the mostly rich

I live in Vancouver and these "bums" have NEVER harassed me or anyone I know. They may collect cans from garbages and the streets but I have no problem with it because they are recycling! Maybe you should open your eyes and realize that not all of the homeless are drug addicts, some suffer from mental illness and have been rejected by society. Wake up.

LOL that's hilarious and would be frightening and if it were true it would be equally amazing how a medical professional still manages to come across as a semi literate jackass. Although I must admit after having seen what passes for professionalism in the local medical community in some cases I guess it is not impossible just highly unlikely and again a pretty frightening thought.

Your statement that most don't want help is wrong. They are just in various states of hopelessness which leads to more substance abuse and degradation and fake help designed more for job creation for the ministry than really helping anyone and it snowballs until you get a people who surrender and get swallowed up by the shit storm that is their lives. And then yes they are too far gone and then just go as far as they can until they die. I have no clue? I think I have more of a clue than you.

Yes if you are homeless in Vancouver and you don't have anything else to do but stand in lines all day for prison food you can keep yourself fed. You won't be able to do anything else with your life but you will have some Salisbury steak in your stomach. That is better than starving but ... cont...
