@MrRobertSRutledge yes, Paul Watson is on Interpol's wanted list, as per request by Japan.."The Sea Shepherd leader has harassed the Japanese whaling fleet for the past few years, limiting the number of whales caught for SO-CALLED scientific research. But it has not issued a notice requesting his arrest." - Yes, they can put them on the wanted list, but they can't arrest him, and they know why..How bout you, do you know why? Because Paul Watson is not your typical whaler "terrorist".

Japan has set there quota at 950 Minke whales. With the average weight of a minke whale being 4-5 tons. Using 4.5 tons as a weight. Not even considering the weight of the bones. This makes for 4,275,000 LBS of meat or .67 LBS per citizen who eats whale. That is not much. How much meat do you eat every year? I know I sure as hell eat a lot more then .67 LBS of meat.

@jasonism123 5% of 127,560,000 (Japan's population in 2009) is 6,378,000. That is a lot of people to feed. The stature that the Japanese are following allows them to hunt them for scientific purposes as long as the whale is used afterward. Lets do some math shall we.

How do I even respond to people who can not form a logical thought.
Law is written down. That is the way it is.
Law has to be a logical calculation in our brain? Ok. Base instinct is to eat. Cavemen killed things with rocks and spears. I do not care what the vagetarians have to say. Humans were made to eat meat. Our bodies can digest it, our teeth can cut it and chew it.
If you are not proud to be a human, then do something about it.

@OnLYxBullets Yes, the hand written warrant under the New Zealand Crimes act of 1961. That law applies only to acts committed in New Zealand. International waters do not belong to New Zealand. And we all know how that went. Pete Bethune went to a Japanese prison. They are terrorists. Paul Watson is on INTERPOL's wanted list.

@MrRobertSRutledge and shot by long and short range sea artillery

lol...
Can't help thinking of the southpark episode whenever I see some sea shepherd footage.
"We're pirates!"
HAHAHA
Illegally boarding a ship and then telling them that they are illegally detaining the pirates? I am not pro whaling, I dont care either way. What I care about are the eco-crazies thinking they are above the law.
Acts of piracy should be treated as just that.

God Bless those whalers! They are so brave to continue working despite these dangerous eco-terrorists threatening their lives and livelihood. Truly a testament to the resilience of mankind.
