PETA vs Ringling Circus

So, while YOU were out working, seeking employment, enjoying vacation...... I drove my petrol-dependent Mazda 3 to downtown Anaheim for a PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) demo. Seems they've had it with the Ringling Circus animal abusers. This video is my attempt to share with you this brief moment in time.

The Orange County (California) Register indicated that this would be some sort of unclothed demo. What I found was one woman, painted like a tiger, wearing very little, sitting in a cage. I found this tiger-lady to be a bit put out with my interviewing technique...like I was wasting her time. I did, however, have a lively, my-life-as-a-videographer conversation with a came rman from ABC...It's always interesting holding my tiny Flip Video camera along side the monster pro vid cams, vying for a news scoop.

Unfortunately, the PETA story was lost today before the demo even started. A woman representing the city of Anaheim (and possibly protecting her fair city from those vegan PETAns) was much more concerned that Farrah had died. Now Michael Jackson's sudden death is upon us.

This Thursday, June 25th, 2009, was certainly filled with unforgettably-sad moments. It'll be one of those times when people ask..."Where were you and what were you doing when you learned that Michael Jackson died?"....or, then again, maybe not.... TO LIFE!
