No. Those footage were only shot for promotional reasons only. Same with the final footage where the killer is in the ceiling when a girl is below him with the flashlight.

There is no extra characters, she was hired to be in footage for the trailer only. She's also wearing Melissa's red coat if you notice it.

About a young boy who is hidden in the attic for many years, on Christmas he snaps and kills his family and is put to an asylum.
15 years later the houses in the neighborhood have been turned into frat- and sorority houses. He escapes and stalks and kills the sorority sisters and their housemother who are living in his childhood home.

Yes, except this movie came out Christmas '06 and Halloween came out August '07.
Many don't notice that (same with the remake) but the original Black Christmas (1974) was the first "stalk'n'slash" after Psycho before Halloween came out. The original is very good, maybe even better than Halloween but it's too underrated.
