Putting the wet stuff on the red stuff.

getting on fire is so danger

Actually it looks like they were on an uninvolved portion of the building attempting to place master streams. The gas leak is common hazard to any structure fire we go into.

@powerstroke4life i i'm a firefighter to, and i've lost 50 of my brothers by they going inside a burning building or standing on the roof, since that amount of lost we only go inside when we think that some one is inside.
we losed 10 days ago again on [the 50th one]
its hart to see you brothers dieing in fire or building collapse.

Only by the Grace of God and NOT the IC's ability to make good decisions on this incident did the LAFD not have several funerals to plan. When its all said and done you have to ask yourself what are we risking. The lives of numerous firefighters that can't be replaced, for a building that no matter how good a job you do is going to be bulldozed. Unreal! Thank God they are OK.

Those firefighters , they are the real heroes putting their life on the line to save others
As a BC, I would not send anyone on that roof. It already vented itself,so I would not take a chance of that roof failing. Type 2 construction will not hold up with that much fire. Surround and drown time.

im in training to become a firefighter, and i totally agree with you... no matter how big that fire is, its not worth anyones life. the main factor is getting the surrounding buildings safe so it doesnt spread far. some people are idiots to even begin to think you should get on that roof. anyone who has gone through any training knows to follow your gut. and i know kn one in their right mind feels good about getting up there.
