  • @paranoid788 If you can do these without weight, or with just a little weight, your calves shouldn't get too big for your liking. However, if you add dumbells, the heavier the weight you lift = bigger muscle mass.

  • @Lucifit See i'm trying to get my calves smaller, i definitely don't want them to get any bigger! lol so as long as i don't do the exercise with weights, my calves will get smaller? :)

  • @paranoid788 Well, essentially, nothing is guaranteed to make you smaller. Remember the saying: "There's no such thing as spot reduction?" Well, it's true! So, in order to get smaller calves, you'll probably need to get smaller all over. We do this successfully with diet and a complete exercise program (cardio, strength, stretching).

  • @danicalyra don't focus on only one part of your body hon. Look at the total picture!

  • Calves, shoulders (deltoids) and abs are, in my opinion, the three hardest muscles to train for both men and women.

    One-legged calf raises while holding on to a dumbbell or kettlebell weight will set your calves on fire.

    Also, try plyometrics (explosive movement exercises), tip toe jumping etc. Playing basketball helps.

    Sprinting up a hill or up flights of steps to the top of a building also will give your calves a killer workout.
