Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25th Anniversary Concert at Madison Square Garden, October 30, 2009. U2 play Stuck In a Moment You Can't Get Out Of with Mick Jagger.
@nin12dog Noooo!!is not what I meant!!!I was responding to another comment.....I love Rolling Stones and U2.My brothers taught me to listen to good and real rock'n'roll. :-)
@nin12dog search for any band before U2 that used echoes and arpeggios the way they do. And then search for any close styled band to the Stones before them. And you will have your asnwer, why U2 changed R&R.
@draganayer OK. I understand you love U2. I think they are a great band. But.....nope, not the same longevity & impact. I see all the figures/dollar amnts, etc.......but this doesn't change anything.
However, I respect your love for U2, which is a great band.
@draganayer I would never disparage U2; it's a great band. I'm simply saying The Rolling Stones have a place in Rock that can't be replaced/displaced. Of course, any significant musician/band impacts (in this case, Rock) music, which constantly evolves. I like U2, Bono has a great voice & charisma. But the key point is: The Rolling Stones were at the Pinacle of Rock& Roll when it was starting, and have maintained their success & inovation for decades. U2 is a fine band.
@happyme55 Bono can't dance....I always thought he had a nice voice.....Mick Jagger is so UNTOUCHABLE that he could give two s#i.ts what anyone thinks. Mick knows that he is Rock royalty.

@pliscopolipo funny - but not very nice! Bono was Hot; he's older/stouter now. Only Jagger has 'moves like Jagger'.....he's a physical phenom!
