@Merany1 "eugenics". you mean the idea that certain traits can be multiplied in a race more than others and that having smart productive ppl have more kids than morons betters the rac. that view is a "low point" for science?

Climate change - toxic pollution - rising disease in both rates and severity - high cost of healthcare....what does it all mean? There's not enough money to save the world: not as long as those who hold the money continually allow for tens of hundreds of thousands of people to die needlessly every year. Until men of authority truly begin to take care of life's security the earth will fade away as a flower. And these men will never step down nor do the Christlike deed for mankind.

Yeah, the 'most serious crisis' ain't maleria, it ain't AIDS, or poverty or starvation or political corruption, or sexual inequality, or riots,or Religious extremism...It's a 'possible' future rise in global temperatures of less than 1 degree in 100 years. Right Al? Sorry, but get a little perspective Mr Gore. Please.

What a dick. Sceptics are paid by large corporations? And who pays greenpiss and other environmental organizations? The biggest doners are "their enemies". And when the comentator pointed Pachauri as a scientist, now that was funny. IPCC is not scientific but political. All real scientists already left it. This is all about money, not environment, nor Planet nor people. And the goal was met, we have a new tax, Carbon tax. Who profits the most? The guy sitting next to Al Gore.

@Merany1 Well, don't worry, this can hardly be called science. It's a religion if anything. In science there is no absolute truth, not the only one way right. Everything that marks itself as no debate or absolute truth is a belief. Science on the other hand operates with hypothesis, that needs to be proven. And even then is not absolute. Everyone who can actually read can see for himself on wikipedia / science -> certainty of science.

Extremely impressed with Gore, though not in complete agreement with him.

thousands of facts? lol

@Timurito1 Al Gore has demonstrated via his own conduct that he is an arrogant selfish pompous bastard who relies on rhetoric and wild guesses to scare people into believing something he doesn't know himself. A dangerous vanity he has. Until we know natural cycles of warming, we can't subtract their influence from present data to get the man-made remainder. There may be no remainder after the subtraction. He guesses natural cycles are neutral and man causes everything now, despite the sun's role

Al Gore is a lying scum.
We need to get back to reality.
Science has not been dragged down this low since the 1930´s with the psuedo-science Eugenics.
The "dumbing down" of climatology is a scandle and it discredits the scientific world.

As usual, Stephen Sackur of BBCNEWS does a great job with this interview, asking compelling confrontational questions in an undeniable intelligent manner that puts his guests on the spotlight to tell a truthful answer.
