Taken from "The Thunderthief"

John Paul Jones - 4-, 6-, 10- and 12-string basses, bass steel guitar, acoustic and electric guitars, organ, synthesizer
Terl Bryant - Drums, percussion
Nick Beggs - Chapman Stick
Robert Fripp - Guitar solo

I've found very few JPJ videos on YouTube, so I thought of start uploading some more of them!
This is one of my favourite JPJ songs, with some great bass riffs! (If there's anyone that can play the song, please tell me ;P)
The guitar solo is by King crimson's guitarist, Robert Fripp.

Enjoy! :)

  • Try JPJ ripping through the lead line from Black dog- on a lap steel, with Nick Beggs on bass and Jason Bonham on drums-That was the support for King Crimson in Studio City,LA...Yeow!!!

  • @Sparkles713 you mean his tour back in 2000/1 ? 'Cause that was Terl Bryant on drums. ;)

Still you're so lucky to see JPJ live.. I hope I'll get the chance too sometime!

  • when did this come out?

  • he was a bad bad man

  • Every time I hear JPJ on the 8-string bass, I have to fight the urge to run out and buy one myself. There aren't many great players out there - JPJ, Tom Peterson, Narucho, Doug Pinnick are the only ones I can think of right now. It's a great instrument for power trios. 8)
