Everyone loves those matrix frozen time scenes, and those who say they don't are lying ;). I always wanted to try and make something like that my self, but didn't have 30 cameras, or the means to set them all off at once.. Last week together with some friends, we borowed all the video cameras we could get our hands on at school (just 3, for this piece film), and set them off filming, we then just found the frames that fitted together and cut them out into stills, did some masking and retouching in photoshop, to divide the background from the foreground, and morphed the result in Morpheus photo morpher, I tried a bunch of other programs, but settled on this one, because it's easy to use, let's you display the triagles it's using to morph and supports alpha channels.. and it just plain works..

  • Great job man!

How is the tutorial coming on any idea when you will have that up?

  • thanks :)

well I never really got round to doing that, but since you did ask I'll try and do it now, I should still have the footage somewhere so I'll try and finish it before the end of the week.

  • yo i love you.

but what kind of camera did you use?? and did you have 3 of the same cameras?or diferent? and is there a tutorial for morpher out there? for this certain task?? and like i rilly need to accomplish this...lol.

by the way did i say i love you??? (im not gay)

i was looking for something like this for a long time!!!!!!!

  • Hi, I used three sony DV handicams, nothing special. they were all the same, it's better to have all cameras the same because it will look more consistent when you morph the images together. And I'd like to make a tutorial of the morphing, but I really don't have time right now, I'm working on a big project
