Randy Pedersen takes on Ernie Schlegel in the 1995 PBA Touring Players Championship final match. It's the 10th frame and Randy needs a strike to win (plus 6 measly pins on 2 shots). @TheBigp5151 A solid nine isn't aaaaaactually a tap. It's caused by the ball having too much angle and hitting a little high on the head pin, which keeps it from deflecting enough to touch the nine pin (which it usually does). The 8 pin is called the only true tap because your ball isn't supposed to touch it. Proper pin action takes it out...so if it doesn't, there's not really much you could have done better.
