My personal opinion is that the main reason why people put others in the "friend zone" is because they don't find them attractive enough. So if you're in this zone and you REALLY really want to get out, just make an effort to be more sexually appealing.

I agree. Life is unpredictable, and you never know what they're thinking. I asked out my best friend, and he said yes. He never expected that I was interested because other guys had been asking me out at the time. Even though we are no longer together, it was a valuable, wonderful experience. I am glad I took that leap of faith. :)

And to add to that... If you care about someone and feel like a relationship with them might be worth a try, for goodness sake TELL THEM. They might be waiting. The friend zone is NOT always the place where hearts get broken. Sometimes, it's just where you have to work up your courage. And believe me. You will get congratulated if you bridge the gap.

I would just like to say that when you realize that you were one of those people who put others in the friend zone... It kind of sucks too. Because you do LIKE them, just not that WAY. And I feel like people always assume that being in the friend zone is almost the guarantee that the relationship is not going to happen. However, my current boyfriend, was a pretty good friend of mine. And he had let on for the longest time that he was kind of into me. Sometimes girls are just old fashioned. :)
