http://FastStudySkills.com/v - Get info, spit it out, get a grade. That's the bare bones of most students test taking experience.

Were talking about getting information the best way YOU can. Lets forget about how others do it and focus on YOU.

Can a blind student get info through a power point projected on screen? Not without some help.

Can a deaf student get info through a professors spoken lecture? Also, not without some help.

Many students are busy comparing themselves to some ideal super student. Then they start feeling terrible about themselves. Start where you're at. When you start comparing yourself with students who AREN'T as well off as you - you can start being thankful that you're healthy enough, safe enough, and have the resources to be reading this right now.

  • I disagree with this methodology. You train yourself to study according to norms, not your own personal style. The point of studying is to do well in the real world, and if you train yourself to need an idiotic MP3 player in order to learn you will not do well in the real world. The idea behind increasing focus is to train your mind to work for you, not the other way around.

  • @Thisisnotmyrealname8 I agree "the point of studying is to do well in the real world." That's why I mentioned just for some students the MP3 player is a crutch. It's something they might be using for now until they become self-aware of their own rhythm while studying. When that self-awareness develops they can study with or without help. Just like a musician who learns to keep time with a metronome. In this way they do train their mind to work for them :-)

  • i have various reasons why not to agree with you. cause if i have a test tomarrow and i study all night for the test. i will freak out cause i got that grade.so im studying for the istep im totally in freaked out confusion. so i don't understand you.i can't take a minute when im near the istep. i can't take a minute with not studying for the dang istep. so if you're trying to convince me. no way in heck im gonna listen to you. my mp4 does not work because if i have it with me at school.i'll die

  • When I study my mind start wondering and can't stay focus more than a few minutes. What should I do?

  • lol ninja like student ftw!

  • @Thisisnotmyrealname8 He has a point with the whole MP3/iPod thing, In order for me to actually succeed in school, I isolate myself and listen to my music device and it helps me focus. It's probably sad, but I guess it distracts me from the rest of my classmates so I am able to finish my work.

  • I find using studying as an excuse to have sex with the ladies, my way of "getting info"

  • u look like my cuzz

  • each student is more the same than different

  • ur soo awesome this is sooo gona help me

  • @faststudyskills That's a good enough answer. You know, it's strange. These days when you are critical of someone they usually automatically become hostile, or you can at least sense their irritation. Not so with you. Makes me think you must be doing something right.
