"Beyond Prebendalist Systems: State, Democracy and Development in Africa," a talk presented by Prof. Richard Joseph, was given at the Center on Democracy, Development and the Rule of Law (CDDRL) at Stanford University on April 25, 2012. It is the third in a three-part series about state, governance and development in Nigeria. The first talk, presented at Northwestern University, can be found on the AfricaPlus YouTube channel.
