  • Who made this? and whic book is this from anyway? I know Philip k. dICK IS THE MASTER OF SCI-FI but i don't know where this is from?

  • In the short story The Electric Ant, Philip. K. Dick is expressing his sarcastical opinion of man in society and man's inability to distinguish between the truth and fantasy. Using his main character's life, Garson Poole, the author illustrates teh delusion of mankind's freedom. This delusion is demonstrated by three components of Garson's life: his automated reality chip, and his emotional and physical makeup as an oranic robot.

  • Interessante. Me lembrou " Eu - Robô" tmb.....

  • I think the animation is good. But I agree with Shocka that the main character is supposed to be human, and that is central to not only the story, but to PKD's work in general. What does it mean to be be human? Are we just meat robots? Or something more? I'm also not sure why there's a child narrating at the beginning of the animation. I believe "The Electric Ant" is PKD's first short story, BTW.

  • I enjoyed this animation..Very well done ,pretty amazing. But I felt dissapointed, for the little respect, to the original story...In the story, he seems human, and that is part of the big joke...Also, I like your explanation, but you are making look it simpler than it is...Life is a dream, of Calderon de la Barca, rings the bell?
