@LittleMermaid241 No, I haven't heard anything. That's why I was wondering.
-
@SnowySpiritRuby No I haven't I was going to go and check it out either today or tomorrow. Did you?
-
@KadiaSeren Thank you. That was the word I was looking for.
-
@Musicgurl39 Have you heard anything more about their U.S. tour?
-
If I was Frodo I would have just woken up and asked her to go out and sing...

While I have never been trained to sing, I still have sang in stage productions albeit in small town america; one thing I can tell you is that she isn't belting its called projecting. Its where you force yourself to speak(sing) to the very last row of the audience so naturally with the microphones and everything else its going to be alot louder than expected. Having seen this in London and sitting in the on the second level I have to say I could hear every word.

This was a bit too long to put in one comment so I put in three – or, I guess four, if you count this one ;-)

I did not get the chance to see the musical live, nor have I heard Rosalie Craig sing this piece, so I can't give a biased opinion. Having read the books a few times, and having studied the description of Arwen, I imagined Arwen's voice to be soft, quiet and sweet with a gentle lull. But please do not get me wrong – Carly Street's voice is very beautiful(I have been singing most of my life, and I can tell that she has a very good voice), and . . .

. . . I would not by any means use the word "belting" to describe what she is doing here – it sounds to me, as with some people I know, that she has a naturally loud singing voice. It is an extremely beautifully done piece, and it is obvious that her heart is in it – one of the biggest factors that makes a good singer, or in her case, an excellent one. This is just a different tone quality than that which I would have expected Arwen's voice to have . . .

...(and I think part of the problem is that the audio of this video is not the best for showing off her voice). However, thank you very much for posting – I wish I had known about this musical in time to see it live, so this is a nice chance to see what it was like. On another note, does anyone know when and where this show will be touring in the United States? All I've heard is that it is supposed to be sometime in 2011. Now that it is 2011, does anyone know if that tour still planned?
gud voice but sure doesnt sound 'gently sturring' if i was frodo i wud have woken up n gone 'IM TRYIN TO SLEEP' the londond ones much more gentle with this song she kinda belts it out this one tho :/
