How's it going, everyone? I'm Dana Ward and this is ClevverTV. We gotta thank Entertainment Weekly for the first look of Hunger Games star, Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen. And beyond that insider photos, the magazine also provided fans with an interview all about the project. In the pages, the actress expresses how she understands the power of this role, saying QUOTE 'I knew that as soon as I said yes, my life would change... and I walked around an entire day thinking 'it's not too late, I could still go back and do indies, I haven't said yes yes, it's not too late''... but of course, she's all in, adding that she loves the story and if she had said no to the offer, she'd regret it every day. Another interesting story, Jennifer actually opens up about how she chatted with the movie's director Gary Ross last winter and when he asked about the then Oscar season craziness, the actress said she opened up to him, describing how she felt like a rag doll getting dressed up in all of these uncomfortable gowns and expensive shoes and the two of them laughed because that's exactly what it's like for Katniss in the capitol with the stylists gearing up for the games. i'm sorry but I don;t think that the other actresses could bring the maturity and seriousness to the role of Katniss that is required, she just has the look too, when I see her, I think Katniss, and when I see her as KAtniss, there is no one else who can override the established notion I have that Jennifer Lawrence is Katniss. I can;t wait to see her performance!

I don't know why... But I feel that she is just so smart and clever... That through past interviews and conversations with the director.. She implanted the idea that she resembles katniss to land this role.
