What kind of buffer are you using...? Is it a Makita 9227C? looks really nice and shiny.... do you think it makes her faster...?
Thanks for your response in advance,
-cheers...

@andrewpoophead The LS-13 is a good looking boat on the water, and has a lot of room for a 13 footer. The downside is, they are not that fast. For comparison; (Portsmouth # for LS-13=109; Portsmouth # for Sunfish=99). This shows that the Sunfish is considerably faster, in all conditions. Unfortunately, the Sunfish with a single lanteen sail is not considered fast, either. Fun boat, otherwise.

Cleaning the hull is a lot of work. I still haven't finished the starboard side yet. You'll notice an electric buffing wheel on the boat. I can't imagine being able to polish the boat to such a high shine without it. I should set up an online photo album so you can see the details of the boat. I would be interested in seeing what your boat looks like too.

i got a couple of videos of sailing on my boat with 4 people. It's pretty cool so check it out. Just type in chrysler lonestar 13.
hey man, i have a lonestar 13 too, they're fast. Have fun when you take it out for the first time!

My wife and I have had it out several times this summer. We only sail if the wind is not too strong, usually no more than 15 mph. I always bring along my gps and usually we sail along at 3-6 mph. Hull speed is 4.5 knots ~ 5.2 mph, above that speed we're planing. Top speed so far has been a couple of bursts of 8 mph.
