Do these people watch the movie? The movie does not explain why Kate is invited to Antarctica? The film explicitly explains over multiple minutes that they need a paleontologist with experience extracting specimens from ice packs. I agree that the Norwegians were not well characterized, but when you obviously did not watch the second scene of the movie, why pay attention to your review?

You know sometimes people don't want to be scared, sometimes people want a good non scary flick. Overall I liked the movie, but they really needed to explain the characters more. I give it a 3.5 out of 5

Only bad thing with this movie was the spaceship and the looks of the "thing" when they it was in the ice. Don't give something mysterious a shape! :( It looked liked a giant bug and how exactly could that thing drive a spaceship? Those parts are pretty unclear for me. But I still give the Movie a B. I really enjoyed watching it and I could spend days and nights just reading of "the thing" based stuff!
