@IustitiaPax are you kidding? on first of september poland was attacked by germans and 17 days later by soviets. ofcourse they knew about 1939 but nothing beyond that. they only knew what happened in SSSR. thousands of polish POW's murdered by stalin. millions of polish civilians sent to siberia gulag camps (many never made it out). i'm just saying that after witnessing what the soviets did to their people, refusing to fight for the soviets did not seem like such a bad idea at the time.

Another YouTube user showed me literature about Poland in English, but I have not yet found on the web. About details of the war, I do not really know. The sources are unreliable. If you know the history books in English about the occupation period, you would indicate, thank you.

You just forgot about massive suicides of polish which took place in woods of Piasnica Wielka, Szpegawski forest, Wawer, Palmiry etc. They did this, cause they were so overjoyed by German "friends" presence.

A-B Aktion and Intelligenzaktion were polish ideas too.
