Dorfbewohner, die zum Ort der Explosion geeilt waren, erklärten, dass sie die Leiche des Mädchens vollkommen zerfetzt vorgefunden hätten. Die Bäume um den Ort standen zu diesem Zeitpunkt durch die Bombardierung in Flammen. Etliche Tiere wurden durch den Beschuss ebenso getötet.

Das kurdische Mädchen wurde bestialisch umgebracht
Die KCK hebt unter Hinweis auf den Vorfall mit dem Mädchen namens Ceylan Önkol hervor, dass der türkische Staat in Kurdistan das Recht auf Leben überrolle: „Der zweite auffällige Vorfall, der die Doppelmoral des türkischen Staats beweist, ist die bestialische Art und Weise, in der das unschuldige kurdische Mädchen von der türkischen Armee getötet wurde. Das Recht auf Leben ist in Kurdistan vom türkischen Staat nie beachtet worden. Seit der Gründung der Republik sind auf diese Art und Weise Hunderttausende von Kurden auf dem Boden Kurdistans ermordet worden. Schon mehrmals wurden Polizisten und Offiziere, die Kurden getötet hatten, durch türkischen Richterspruch freigesprochen. Die Logik, mit der Uğur Kaymaz ermordet wurde, ist dieselbe im Falle Ceylan Önkols. Es gibt keinen Unterschied zu der Logik, die die DTPler mit Gewalt vor Gericht bringen will. Es zeigt auch ganz klar, dass die Logik von 1930, als der damalige Bildungsminister Mahmut Esat Bozkurt äußerte: ‚In der Türkei leben nur Türken, und wenn es auch andere gibt, dann nur als die Sklaven der Türken, sich kein bisschen verändert hat. Wenn bis heute kein Verfahren gegen die Mörder Önkols eingeleitet worden ist, dann aus diesem Grunde.
