Million Dollar Quartet is the name given to recordings made on Tuesday December 4,1956 in the Sun Record Studios in Memphis, Tennessee. The recordings were of an impromptu jam session between Elvis,Jerry Lee Lewis,Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash. In addition,Elvis previewed material that he was considering for up-coming RCA sessions in January and February 1957.
All the Vegas Elvis impersonators had Elvis as an overweight middle age guy in a jumpsuit. here Eddie Clendenning played a young, slim and handsome Elvis.

  • Wow Little Richard in 2011. What a living legend!

  • If my baby Richard dont retire and rest :) He gone be singing these songs all the way to the nursing home

  • I think Little Richard did it really well, and the man is a legend and deserves respect!

  • Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Fats Domino, Elvis Presley - all these great performers from the Million Dollar Quartet era!

  • he need to retire cant even sing the hole song

  • Thanks for the video. I love Little Richard!

  • @ronfowlermusic He's not. He's singing Bobby Charles' song. A lot of the real quartet's most famous songs were covers. Hell, Elvis' "Blue Suede Shoes" was a cover of one of Carl Perkins' songs.

  • Very good performance!
