By Request: Another infectious tune from the The Inspirations 1977 Cannan Records release "When I Get Home." This track features recently retired tennor Archie Watkins.
In 1977 The Inspirations were:
Archie Watkins (Tennor)
Troy Burns (Lead)
Eddie Deitz (Baritone)
Mike Holcomb (Bass)
Martin Cook (Piano)
Roger Fortner (Guitars)
Dale Jones (Steel Guitar)
Jack Laws (Upright Bass)
@kooch31 He's doing a solo ministry now, and also singing some dates this year with Troy Burns, Eddie Deitz, Marlin Shubert, and Jack Laws. I had the pleasure of hearing them all singing together again just recently.

I love this song! I can remember hearing this song on the radio when it was new back in the 70s. Archie really sings out on this one. The Inspirations sure have had tons of great songs down through the years with excellent singers and musicians. That's what's made them such a fine quartet. I'm just wondering how they are going to sound without Archie singing tenor and Matt singing lead. Thanks for posting!
