@GriffithAMPS Remake and attach Guillermo Del Toro to the movie. He does his best work when working with dark fantasy, and Phantasm's in that realm.

Phanty 2 rocks! Builds on Phanty perfectly.
Phanty 3 was a retarded step into the slapstick world of Sam Raimi. And the retconning with the spheres totally killed their mystique.
Phanty 4 was a case of "we've $17.36 - we can shoot 50% in a car, at night, that'll save money. And hey, the desert is easy to shoot in."
Chuck in more retconning, the RETARDEDNESS of Jodie the Talking Sphere, and you end up with Don Cos chasing his own tail and fucking up.

@GriffithAMPS Remake but go way off tangent, just make sure the major elements are there and same exact characters. Tell the whole damn story in one epic move imo.
