And yet another response. Your talk on education got to me, since the farce it is in this country has been a pet peeve of mine for years. I try to talk about it a bit, as well as how I noticed it in my own growing up. don't know how well I succeeded in conveying these things, but hey, that's what later vids are for.

By the way, you might notice a few verbal gaffs, particularly at the beginning. I meant to say I liked things to be informal, and disliked formal titles. I ended up saying the opposite. *sigh*... it's been a long day.

Edit: there were a couple of things I forgot to say in this vid... stupid 10 minute limit...

Anyways, I'm not surprised they took your 500 page report away. It's written evidence of an insidious system geared towards the crippling of a young human mind, and if it went back into your hands you might have done something as terrible as spreading it around and/or publishing it. Can't have that, can we?

Also, I'm checking out the forum you got set up. I'm definitely not averse to writing up large posts on topic or another... it;s actually what I was notorious for among my friends when I first came to the internet in 98. Just ask my friends what a post of "Sah'arian length" is, and watch them laugh.

  • Wow, your videos (especially this one) have actually motivated me to work harder in school and now i actually want to learn. Before, I was like " pfffft I'll just do enough to get by" and I wouldn't even study for tests. I even got a D in calculus and failed the exam because i just didn't care. I don't know but your videos have just made me want to be a more intelligent person. Not that I was a dumb person, but I lacked motivation, I didn't want to learn. Now I do! Anyway THANK YOU. :)

  • The Catholic schools are unfortunately a shell of their former selves, more closely resembling the secular socialist school system.

The roots of the decline of private school institutions, both religious and secular, have its roots in the Protestant Pietist movement of the 19th century. This movement was partly the creator of the so-called Progressive Era.

  • Sounds very similar to a lot of my experiences. Especially the damn Jocks beating on the "geeks". And you're right about that, too. I DO consider Geek to be a badge of honor. And I'd bet a lot of money that those jockstraps that looked down on me couldn't survive without this society's safety nets, whereas I LEARNED, and I can.

This is gonna go on :P catch ya later.
