Most of the increase in gov spending has come from three programs: medicare, medicaid and social security. Allowing 1/3 of humanity to die because you aren't willing to spend 0.15% on $1 vaccines isn't going to solve anything.
Health campaigns have bipartisan support because our gov is democratically elected.

America only spends 0.15% of its income on official development assistance. That is a small price to stop 1/3 of humanity from dying from diseases that can be prevented with $1 vaccines.

That figure is over 13 years. The amount would be a very small fraction of a $2.5 trillion annual budget to prevent 1/3 of humanity from dying.
One day the US may need others help. I hope the rest of the world doesn't have your attitude.

In the magic happy UN world no one legaly has small arms, bandits run rampent and everyone is dependant on the socialist police state to take care of them and protect them.
