As a part of the CAK Airport's 2018 Improvement Plan, the design has been completed for the Akron-Canton Airport Security Checkpoint Expansion. In an effort to accommodate the increased flow of passengers, a new open restaurant and concession area has been designed to draw travelers into the space, while the expansion of the TSA security screening area allows the integration of new body scanning devices and additional lanes.
