@Elcerritogooze I dunno, man. The Tubes were pretty progressive, especially when you take other bands into consideration. I play alot of instruments, and I've performed some of these songs, and they are not simple. The Tubes were really musically sophisticated and complex, and would try anything. They were far from typical. They're progressive if you ask me.

Progman how can you consider the Tubes a prog rock Band? especially the early stuff. They were more like Punk rock. I was born and raised in the Bay area and at that time we had 'Automatic Man" and the 1st 3 Journey albums Before Steve Perry joined and changed the band forever. The 1st Journey album and "Next" are two of my favorite Prog rock albums of all time. The Tubes? Hell even Santana was putting out more Progressive stuff with "Caravanserai" "Borbelleta" and the "Welcome" LPs.

I hear what you're saying. And your suggestions are excellent! They've just always been one of my favorite bands and musicianship-wise, I 've always felt they did have prog elements in their sound, although, perhaps, not overtly so.
