Thanks so much for this post. You've identified some details that I hadn't noticed and I've been working on this pass for years. My brother, who is an athletic 290lb purple belt, just came back from a trip to the UK where he got to role with Roger. He said, while Roger was super cool, his BJJ was like rolling with a "demon parasite" - he didn't smash, but every movement Roger made was heavy and glued to my brother, counteracting any leverage.

TrumpetDan, great video series, been using it with great success. Problem now is the guys are tired of me mounting them so they are using the half guard with straight leg extension. Every time i move they pull my leg straight and i'm stuck for a long time, not the traditional half guard. Do you have any videos for a variation of this move?
could you please provide more detail on passing the quarter guard? ive tried the half guard pass shown in this lesson with some success but many times found myself stucked in a quarter guard and couldnt transfer it to mount.

@pavukino Watch "Tournament: Roger Side Control to Mount, $.60 Average Level Gi Seminar, Quarter Guard Pass"
This should give you one idea of my 2 passes. Pay attention to how I use my left leg. Also, I have an underhook that is cupping his shoulder with my right arm,and my head is pressed up against his and pushing to the left.

traumpetdan i wanna know if you are planning to cover up (after your december roger's class or not) the pass on the deep half guard or the deep half guard with both underhooks ( the head of the bottom guy is close to the upper guys knee)... because i know that aren't positions that roger gets often.. but this kinda half guard is relative easy to pass. thx cya
