I had just gotten past the Water Room with a reasonably good time, then proceeded to celebrate with a little jumping and shouting. I then went back to review all the segments, and, for whatever reason, this segment was missing. I had written down the time of the segment and continuously checked that spot on the tape, yet it was gone. There was no other segment near it (I left the tape running over many attempts, and the final attempt ended up being near the very end), just black on the screen. Luckily for you (and me) this did not discourage me, and I went back (Thank God I still had the save), and ended up completing the chapter fifteen seconds faster than the previously recorded one! One of the major differences between this one and the previous one was that I had Ashley get attacked when I first re-enter the village. This seems to lower the health of the ganados in the Cabin, effectively shortening the total time of the fight.

At 1:56, does that always work? Telling Ashley to wait for a brief second then say "follow me" and she just safely gets up the ladder? Wow, I always kill the Ganados in there before I go up. I'll be trying that.

you just have to make sure that you get him to chase you, if he does, ashley's free to go!

Cool run. Out of curiosity, though, why did you keep running into a corner when you reloaded?

By facing the wall, the ganados could only grab me from behind, which does not do any damage. I just had to hope they didn't club me instead :)

isn't the cabin fight supposed to be like kill 50 enemies or survive for around 5-10 minutes(don't mark a minus on the comments please), I just always wondered if that was true.I heard this from a friend.

The only way to get past the cabin is to kill 40 enemies. I'm 99% sure Louis' kills count toward that total.  The timed sequence only applies to the village fight in 1-1, the cabin fight lasts as long as it takes you to kill 40 enemies. Hope that helps!

Nice, I never knew that Ashley didn't have to get involved in the "cabin fight", is there a different cutscene as a result before the fight begins?

@iressivor Theres a place to hide ashley in both places, one is the the large bell tower, and the second ashley can hide in the dumpster at the very beginning of the second village.

Hey did, you mean to stab Luis, or is it some way to make them appear faster? Also, does it work in the wii version? The not hurt being able to get hurt from behind part.
