Honoring Street Fighter 4, I bring you a series of epic battles from past Capcom titles and other games influenced by Street Fighter. This is "Justice League Task Force" (1995, Sunsoft/Blizzard),
perhaps the earliest superhero-based fighting game ever made. Yes, wayyy before
the "Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe" crossover, JLTF brought DC characters in
one-on-one combat! It was yet another game attempting to cash in on the
fighting craze of the 90s, and with fully licensed DC superheroes, it's gotta be a win-win.
In 1995, which other game can you find Superman smash The Flash over the face with
a well placed boot? Or Wonder Woman perform bone-crunching, yet strangely inticing moves against...whom ever her opponent may be? *ahem* Anyway, the game itself is halfway decent
at best. The controls get a little clunky at times, and the graphics haven't aged
well (not that they were amazing to begin with). It's still a cool concept though,
and there's far worse superhero games out there.
nice video!
