I have seen them several times now with just Josh.......and while he is NOT John, he is an excellent guitarist. Their sound on I'm With You IS different....but I think that is just where their music is going (they are all getting older, with the exception of Josh!)

I have been a HUGE RHCP fan since their inception (born and raised in L.A.) Since then, I have seen them 47 times now and in my opinion, John WAS the best guitarist they have ever had......the man is pure brilliance :) I have met them all of numerous occasions, and they are the most gracious group of men I have ever met. I have also seen many of John's solo performances and was not disappointed.

@wheels85 and could you imagine being in a band with your friends, and while youre not being openly attacked, the large majority of your fans are actually crying over the fact that youre in the band ? That would be horrible, and Josh is such a talented musician and has such a nice personality, this should not happen to him. Not to mention that frusciante's musical direction took a turn away from the rest of the band's... come on guys
