This video picks up right where the clip of the race finish already on the site leaves off, showing replays of the skirmish that took place after the checkered flag and interviews with winner Dale Earnhardt and runners-up Kenny Wallace and Joe Nemechek.

  • Old school racin', old school ESPN coverage...miss those days

  • I was there when i was only 12. I remember my dad wanting to leave early because Sr was 18th with 4 to go. I said we were going to stay till the end, and look what happened. I will remember that day the rest of my life.

Also, why is it that no race at Daytona or Talladega can finish under green anymore? This was the craziest Nascar race to date and they didn't wreck until the race was over. If you read the results half of those guys don't even race anymore, yet they managed to not wreck.

  • no disrespect to bobby labonte but earnhardt should have wont his 8th championship that year

  • it's amazing that the ESPN broadcast suck today!

  • anybody have the interview when dale won the die hard 500 and jr was there as a kid joking around?

  • "looking back, knowing that you gave it your all...win or lose, you finish a champion"

    got dam, i miss Dale

  • i might be the only earnhardt fan that thinks that it is good that he died at daytona, no not cause he was doing what he loved but because he was doing what he loved while he was still good at it. Would you have liked to see dale wind up like a embarrasment like dale jarrett? his last couple years was a joke, its a miracle if bill elliott when he races doesnt end up 9 laps down.....that wasnt meant to be for sr, he hung up his hat while he was still the best

  • Was my first time at a cup race. Unbelieveable! Saw his car from that race in the Nascar Hall of Fame in Charlotte, and I cried like a baby. Just seeing that car brought back an ocean of memories, and I wasn't even a big Earnhardt fan. Everybody, go to the Hall of Fame, and see that car. VERY emotional.

  • Richard Childress is about as happy as you'll ever see him here.

  • Brings tears in my eyes... God, I wish he was still alive! He was incredible, still is. :'(

  • that's one reason why they have the double yellow line rule

  • 32? i only counted 30
