This song is about two best friends growing up in Belfast during the troubles. It was written by Tommy Sands, but my version is from Cara Dillon. It is truly a beautiful song.

I don't know where the moral is or where this song should end,
But I wonder, just how many wars are fought between good friends?

  • I'm not one for commenting on YouTube but you are without a doubt the best I've heard singing this song, I was introduced to you from a friend showing me your video of Christmas in New York and since then I've listened to all your songs and they are all brilliant...please upload more, Cara Dillon and Tommy Sands could learn how to sing this song from your version!

  • This is great, well done

  • Evans and Doherty does an awesome version of this song

  • supper cool, i did this song for my choirs year end concert, and had a guitar picking, base bowing and fiddle picking, it was lovely . I absolutly love your accent as well, wether its real or put on, it works. Also where do u find these irish ballads? they seem to work for me , a cross between my choir voice and everyday voice.

    thanks

    Megan
