video of whammy being unloaded from truck after an absence of 23 years.
This Fire truck was constructed in the now Yolo County Fair Office. Carl Theile built this truck in 1973 and was sold to garden valley FD in 1984

  • Clearly it has an IHC cab.

  • I'd like to see this in operation, I love the back-up bell

  • I didn't see a single ladder on it so how can it be a ladder truck

  • nice has the bell

  • What gave it the name Whammy?

  • All I know is the Bell works very well !!! LOL

  • To me it looks like it could have been an Industrial foam pumper/tanker. It has a turrent on deck and booster reels.

  • prolly not it has no ladder.

  • OK I figured it out. It is a super pumper of sorts, like the old ones in NYC.
