  • the text in your video sounds like you have an industrial management/electrical engineering background...do you have the generator up and running?

  • Good guess. I do electical maintenance in a power company generation department.

Yes, its been running for almost 3 years now with no breakdowns.

  • really 6 mag's for 6 coils isnt it?

  • each set of 2 coils are connected in series to make 3 phases. On this generator I have connected the generator in star which gives more voltage and less current. I could have connected it a number of ways. There are 8 magnets which create 4 pairs of poles. This makes a 4 pole feild. I used a plan found on the internet and therefore never bothered figuring out the timing of the magnets related to the coils. (Actually there are 16 magnets total because there is na identical rotor feild either side

  • Has anyone actually sent you money yet? I am also experimenting in wind power, and could also use the donations, I am a bit behind you though, I dont have a video camera yet ;)

  • No, I never recieved any money and I wasn't expecting any. What kind of stuff are you doing? Ive got a vertical shaft unit half built. I'll probably finish it this winter.

    Regards

  • Love the music :)

Makes more enjoyable to do the project with music like that...

    AC/DC, Yeah!

  • AC/DC - TNT

  • what is the title of the music =) ?

  • friends i need a help from all of u.........i dnt have practical knowledge on making a dc generator.....but i have buk knowledge so friends please help how to construct it......i have a project work in my college.....

  • Love to watch your project, that is the great wind turbine. Do you still hand out copies of the project, here in British Columbia wind might substitute my high electricity cost. I have a 1.5kW inverter that I used in my van with 225A alternator and was running 2 deep freezers size 22qfeet. Was able to run one for good 6 hours just off the 850 crank Amps car battery.

    Please E-mail me:

  • I sure hope you main shaft is large enough. I had an 8 footer that made a 1/2" steel shaft bend in high winds. Nice project

  • It looks like your rotor has 16 magnets on one side and 8 magnets on the other. Why? Also, they appear to be different shapes on either side?
