TANF doesn't exist, what alternate reality are you residing in? Cash for Clunkers will most likely be a reality soon and it's ripe for fraud.

As far as health care goes, you obviously have done little research. Our health care system is already half-socialized, over 46% of health care expenditures are covered by the gov't.

Insurance companies also have to deal with state mandates, which have gone over 1,000 (from 7 in '65) in recent years.

However, regarding #4, it would be a dream come true if all citizens had the option of raising their middle finger to the scumbag, money-sucking insurance companies because there was a REAL health care program to turn to.

The only hope of the conservatives is that the big insurance companies kill any real alternatives through their well-paid lobbyists and their bribery of congress.

JSOY, who is going to enjoy the next 8 years?

1) Those who are getting taxpayer-funded mortgage bailouts

2) Those utilizing the "Cash for Clunkers" program so they can get a "better" car with taxpayer cash

3) Those in the TANF program because Clinton's revisions to it required people to get out after 5 years, now it's open-ended

4) Those dumping private insurance for their kids in favor of expanded SCHIP so the taxpayers can pay for it

Those people might enjoy the next 8 years

jsoynbnj- the thing you need to remember is that there is a 0% chance that 100% of the people will be happy with the person in office. When Bush was in office, the liberals were not happy, with Obama in office, the conservatives are not happy. Another thing to remember is that while not everyone wins with capitalism, nobody wins with socialism. That is what Obama stands for. Certainly inconsistent with what our Founding Fathers had in mind.
