I race a 434 stroker in my dad's nova 1963 went 6.18 on the 1/8mile on alchool and non ported heads and intake :D Man what a blast!! the old 383 was pretty good though 6.36 on gas with ported heads very strong engine

is that an 18degree motor?
-
same muffler i had on my NA ECOTEC loved the sound but if was absolutely way too loud!

what kind of mufflers are those on that bad boy!?
-
with a 434 , i think i would shoot for the best torque reading over a broad scale , instead of peak hp ,, the long stroke may not peak as high as lets say a 406 , but the torque it would make would be awesume

i'd say 750 hp is very achieveable with the combo ,,, i had a friend buy a 18 degree set up from a truck team , it went on a 420 sb ,, it went 715 hp , using a circle track cam , mainly for bottom end ,,, a drag racing cam for topend ?? it should top 715 easy

Nice... I'm wanting to go 434. Is your block aftermarket?
in the car, its got 3.5 inch pipe and borlas. lets just say that they dont muffle much.

yea, it runs on 110 octane. The whole motor came out of a craftsman series truck. we just bored it and stroked it to 434. The block and heads are all GM. The car ran a 10.44 @ 134 in 95 degree heat this summer and speed world in Arizona

The car ran a 10.30 @ 136 mph on the second run ever. that kind of mph doesn't come from 500 hp. Did you think we guessed the Hp from the back yard stand run?
