  • it seems to me religion is the thing that holds humans down.Where would humanity be if we weren't killing ourselves over who's God is better?A fundamental established religion sounds dangerous to me. Only my opinions.

  • It never ceases to amaze me how religion and Christianity in particular is 'the norm' in America and not only that, but people seem to be really Ned Flanders-ish about it too. It's so different to my background in the UK. Sure, at school, they'd drag in the minister at Christmas and Easter, but that was really just to give us all an excuse to laugh and/or sleep.

  • to answer that last question I would have said simply, science is man made, humans use science as a way of explaining our world. Science simply cannot apply to God, because he is not from this world and as humans we cannot comprehend his existence.

  • @fdasherv So everyone followed Christianity properly in that time? And it didn't work?

  • @BibleIsland I don't know, hmm let's see, 2000 years of christianity and not a problem in the world

  • @fdasherv it doesn't matter what Christians do.. we are all sinners too. The fact is though, if everyone followed what Jesus said, would there be any problems?

  • @BibleIsland Great, you bust all those Christians out of jail and see how rehabilitated and docile they are.

  • @fdasherv yes, as I've said, it contains violence. It doesn't permit any Christian to be violent though. If everyone followed what Christ said and just loved their neighbor then many problems of the world would be gone overnight

  • @BibleIsland Very, very violent acts, genocide even, instructed by El himself. Oh, it's there. In spades.

  • @bradMi80 The Bible says not to muder or be violent, so perhaps not following the rules the Bibles sets out is what is truly holding humanity back

  • @fdasherv I said "The Bible does not permit or condone" violence".. Of course it contains violence, it's a history of a world.

  • Okay, totally boring forum. Now bring on the strippers!
