@DulBeat We have both. And so do they. Just because it was written in the east doesn't mean it is exclusively for people from there. Westerners can enjoy it just as much. Because frankly, it's awesome.

The eastern world's greatest hero is a talking monkey with a magic stick who can transform into trees and ride clouds, while we have an old man who has his friends look around for a wineglass for a while and gives up.

This is not actually the closest thing to a religious text that the Chinese have. Although it is a good representation of Chinese culture, the Tao Te Ching (the Taoist scriptures) or the Analects (Confucius's teachings) would both probably be considered the closest to religious texts of China. Learn the culture before you teach it.
