Something was different, I couldnt tell what was but it was something. I just stood there wondering what it was. Then I saw her. She sat near the window in the back of the classroom just staring into space lost in her own daydream. The sunlight ran over her black wavy hair, to her face, and all the way down. I had an urge to know her name. When I walked passed her, my eyes never left the sight of her. Something about her was so different from the other girls. Maybe it was the way she looked or maybe it was her mystery of not knowing who she was.
I walked past her looking over her desk to see if I could find out something about her but nothing. All I saw was a notebook a piece of paper sticking out of it. Wondering if that was her schedule she looked up at me. Nothing but silence fill me up, I was left speechless. She was waiting for me to say something but all I did was stare. What was I supposed to say to her? I was wondering if that was your schedule and if we had classes together and by the way youre really pretty! No, I think Ill pass on telling her that. While speechless I took the seat behind her. Looking at the back of her head. No, more like starring at the back of her head wondering her name.
The teacher came in and starting talking. I didnt pay attention that much because I was lost in my own thoughts. Until she started calling out the role I was all ears. Smith, Spouse and then she stopped and said Stewart? The girl raised her hand and said Here. Stewart? How am I supposed to know her name? Stewart just gave me her last name nothing else to it!
Papers were being passed back and I couldnt help but think about her. She turned around and passed me the papers. I smiled, well I couldnt help it. She smiled back, turned, and started to work. I couldnt concentrate on my paper! Just great Im going to fail Calculus and never learn her name. It was driving me crazy so I was going to do it! Just tap her shoulder and ask her name. Wait I couldnt just ask her name that would be weirdright?
Then it happened she turned around. She didnt say anything though. I was just looking at her then she said something. I wasnt listening really. I was just watching her lips move and her eyes glued to me. What? Im sorry II wasnt listing I hate that I had to say that but I didnt hear what she said I was too distracted. Can you help me? I dont really understand what to do and Im Leah but the way. Finally, I knew her name!
Yeah sure. I looked at her and she smiled. The whole class period I was talking to her. I was talking to Leah! Oh my god I was really talking to her! The bell sadly rung and I got my stuff packed up. I stood at the door watching Leah with a confused look on her face while looking at the piece of paper, which was probably her schedule
She walked past me without noticing me. I ran after her to see where she was going. My next class was lunch, so I wasnt worried about being late. Leah. Do you need help finding your way around? I yelled while catching up to her. Yeah, I kind of need it. She handed me in her schedule. I took it and smiled. To my disbelief we had five out of seven classes together. I would be seeing her a lot. We have most of our classes together except when I have gym you have music and also you have a different History class I smiled this year is going to be great. Ill be with Leah for all my classes. Thats good because I am so lost. She looked down at her feet, maybe she was a little embarrassed to be lost. It was going to be perfect. This is the first time; Ive ever been on my own in a school like this. She looked up but, she didnt look straight at my face. Dont worry this school isnt that big and you have me to show you around. She smile and didnt say anything. We walked down the hallway as I told her where everything was. She looked up at me and said I think being with you doesnt make this school half bad. All I could do was smile and look at her as she ran ahead of me smiling about what she said.
