This video has some key stuff wrong. First, we know why the nuclear envelope disintegrates (certain proteins break it down). Also, when the chromosomes separate, they are not "pulled" in a "tug of war." The chromosomes "eat" their way down the spindles until they reach the polar ends of the cell.

Chromosomes do not duplicate, DNA does, and when it is duplicated it forms itself into a chromosome

This video is actually a little out of date, we now know that some proteins and a type of Cyclin Dependent Kinsases (CDKs) called Maturation Promoting Factors help tear down the nucleus during prometaphase. Cyclin dependant kinases form as the cell reaches the end of G2 phase and comes closer to the M phase (mitosis).
