Jerusalem Talmud, Sanhedrin 4:8 ( 37a) written between 2nd and 3rd centuries AD--- Whoever destroys a soul, it is considered as if he destroyed an entire world. And whoever saves a life, it is considered as if he saved an entire world.The Koran borrows this passage which was just a comment made by a Rabbi in the Talmud and makes it a command straight from the God of the Quran
