  • God, this is captivating. It's as beautiful as the sound of angels singing in paradise.

  • Why this song was not a bigger hit is a mystery. Just wonderful.

  • The harmonizing associated with the Teddy Bears is bueatiful & worthy of listening too....if only for the lyrics. "Too Know Him" is by far the most memorable song by them and the only one I remember hearing here locally. Because of the lyrics alone I would have to say "Too Know Him" is the one I would choose to hear over and over again, you can understand but nerverthe less the lyricsa altho better are not of a positive nature.

  • mi cancion preferida de este trio musical,yo la cantaba en mi etapa de adolescencia

  • is there a CD that has all the Teddy Bears songs on it.

  • @nennivalle En effet, Camillo Felgen est né au Luxembourg, à Tétange ; il est mort en 2005.

  • I loved this song, and i loved " I don`t need you anymore" too.

But the flip side of "to know him is to love him" was (to me, at least...) the beginning of the bad times, when the music got so loud that you could hardly hear the singers.

And it just got worse and worse over the years.....

Thank God we have people posting these songs from my youth!

  • The story goes that, at the time of recording in 1958, Spector himself actually viewed "Don't You Worry My Little Pet" as the A-side, devoting all the booked studio time to recording it - whilst "To Know Him is to Love Him" was reputedly recorded in almost throwaway haste (ie: in one take!) after session-time was officially over, largely because a B-side was needed! In the end the B-side got more airplays and became the new A-side. "Don't You Worry.." was clearly way ahead of its time!

  • The third "Teddy Bear" was a guy called Marshall Leib - and of course Carol Connors was still known as Annette Kleinbard back then. You're absolutely right about the other side of "To Know Him is to Love Him" : "Don't You Worry My Little Pet" can surely be called the first example of the "Wall of Sound", about five years before the term was really starting to be used of Spector's work.

  • we know Carol and Phil, but who was the third member? also: to find out how advance Spector was, flip over TO KNOW HIM IS TO LOVE HIM and hear a song

that would have fit in the late 60's.......

  • Jesus. Sends shivers up my spine wow what a voice.

  • I love this record!
