I made a quick test animation using Blender's radiosity feature. Not only produces it beautiful shadows, it saves a lot (!) of time when rendering animations.

  • That's nice, but is there a way to animate a mesh with a radiosity effect?

    For example, the cube moving arround the room while emmiting light.

    Is there a way to achieve this?

  • by is this in 2.4X, or is it in an earlier version?

  • I can imagine it saves times because its baked in this scene. Doesnt work so well if the light/lighted things move around... :(

  • Can you expound on what you mean by Radiosity saving rendering time. Do you mean as opposed to AO or what? Is the world scene radiant?
