http://www.provideoschool.com - Part 4/5: Do you know there's a selection tool that allows you to select only a chunk of the timeline for rendering - and not by drag-selecting individual clips? This video tutorial is called the ggg Shortcut.

This is a new 5-part series on essential Final Cut Pro workflow editing tips. After many years of using Final Cut Pro I picked 5 of the most useful day-to-day tips and shortcuts that I use. Maybe you use some of these or maybe you've never heard of some of these. In any case - sit back and enjoy - they are short!

  • It is a really awesome shortcut indeed.

And also, in case you don't already know this: when you select a clip, or more (even if you did it with the ggg tool) you can zoom in the selection using SHIFT + OPTION + Z.

What it does is, it zooms in so the selected part fits the whole timeline. So you don't have to keep zooming in and out or moving the timeline to one side and the other until you zoom in where you want.

  • you're beautiful

  • thanks dood, super useful
